I recently took out my dash/radio and the process i removed a lot of stuff. now i noticed that my trunk release doesn't work when i push it, but it opens when i use the open trunk button on my car keys. Does anyone know what could be wrong? blown fuse? short circuit? the button also doesn't illuminate.

Also, my seat warmer, and window lock do not illuminate anymore either, nor does the window lock even work. Are there bulbs for the these or is it likely some other electrical problem? as i recall the cluster of buttons for the window lock etc. plug's into circuit system.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix these issues. i don't care so much about the seat warmer lights (unless its an easy fix) but the functionality of the trunk release and window lock is something I'd like to fix.

 

well if you went in and took out a bunch of stuff and now they aren't alluminated, my best guess would be that you disconnected the power supply to trunk release, window lock, and seat warmers...

i'd say to go back in and check all of the connections around where you were removing stuff.

 

i have the same issue with trunk release... i dont know what it is.. i bought it like this.... ;(

 

I found out that there is this button in the glove box for the trunk release that was set to "off" and just switched it "on" and it now it works. you might want to try that! I dont understand why they even have that switch, but whatever at least that problems is fixed. now i just gotta figure out why one of my seat warmers and window lock is not illuminating.
