OEM Replica Wheels

Has anyone used or heard of this company.

http://www.finishlinewheels.com/spec...er+%2818x8%29/

The price is great if the quality is there. I really want the OEM Sport wheels for my G35x which means I need the 18x7.5 non-staggered setup, but these are a little bit wider (18x8, hopefully not an issue).

Unless someone can offer up a set of four OEM Sport wheels (10-spoke) in great condition, then this may be the next best option.

Also, anyone know what minor curb rash costs to repair as there is a decent set on eBay right now?

EDIT: I will need to check weight, etc, but these would have a lifetime warranty on the finish and since I live in AZ I don't have to worry about salt damage and such.

wait they are 18" replicas of the oem 19's??? and why would you not just buy a set in the marketplace where they sell from like $600 and up, then you get the real deal. Even if they are a bit beat up you can have them fixed up and powdercoated for not too much

^ I think he is talking about the OEM 18" sedan sport version, which looks like the coupe 19"s. Coupe 19s can be a bit too aggressive for most sedan owners.

btw 8" is fine, they didn't disclose the offset though, but I think anything > 30 is fine.

Yeah, I am looking for the OEM 18 Sport 10 Spoke wheels. I sent a note asking weight, finish (painted or polished) and offset.

Anyone heard anything about them? A few notes I found said this place was repairing OEM wheels for BMW, Audi, etc on those cars respective forums. Have not been able to find much in terms of like or dislike with this place with "replica" wheels.

Actually, I was trying to stay away form 19's because everyone I talk to says the ride is horrible and I am concerned about rubbing. Anyone got any pics of 19 coupe sport wheels on a sedan x, non-lowered/dropped?

Wouldn't look right at stock height. You would look like you were driving a Jeep on a lift kit.

A few of us are rocking the coupe rims on non-Xs but are dropped.

They look right in the picture, but who's to vouch for those as their reproductions and not just pictures of stock rims?

Quality is probably average at best. They won't be as good as OEM, not for that price. They'll be straight, they'll look like OEM, but they're probably not as strong as OEM, so more susceptible to damage from potholes. Don't forget to add another $72 to your total for shipping.

Personally, I wouldn't buy them. For $600 you should be able to find a set of Sedan Sport wheels, it may just take some time.

After a few prompt responses on the wheels from finishline, the guy seems to know what he is talking about. The picture clearly shows painted (hyper silver) center and spokes and lip is machined (he confirmed). That is the only concern I have. He also said they carry a 38 offset for the X's, but Tirerack.com shows a 45.

Anyone think the difference in offset will matter? Hey Blue Dream, do you have any more pictures of that blue X from different angles? I want to see how far out they stick if at all and can you provide your setup. I.e. tire size, offset and rim size. Not sure if all coupe wheels are the same as they have staggered wheels on some of them.

I know everyone thinks it will look like a 4x4, but I don't want to lower at this point until I am ready to replace the suspension components. Also if the 19's rub at all I would not be interested in going that large as I don't want to have to worry about rolling the fenders, etc.

Lol this sounds like a quote Blue Dream would use on his signature. Rays is the wheel company that made the forged coupe 19" wheels. Check the marketplace and Craigslist. Is hard to find a set in perfect condition but they pop up once in a while and they could always be refinished.
