Need advice about intakess......

hey guys, i have 07 g35s(HR) sedan, had it for about 3 years now, and the only thing ive done to it is put in stillen catback exhaust and was was wondering about what kind of intake to grab, i was thinking either the stillen gen2 or the injen, i know the injen sits fairly low and the area i live in tends to rain quite a bit iunno if i should worry about that, anyone have any suggestions or prefferances? and if anyone knows which of the two would sounds better and the hp gains off each? thanks.

I did a lot of research on this before finally settling on the z-tube/K&N filter combo. It seems that this is the combo that will provide the best performance (other intakes seem to have a lot of issues with heat soak).

The sound is deeper and slightly louder with this combo, though if you're looking for a more aggressive sound you may want to go with the Injen CAI or something like that.

you can get the z-tube from a nissan dealer or from stillen and the K&N is just a pannel filter you can get at AutoZone or simmilar.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
You guys are missing the fact he has an 07 SEDAN. HR motor with dual intakes, the z tube does not apply here. OP post this question up in the 07 Sedan forum for a more appropriate answer.

the new generation injen CAI intakes could be made into short rams when needed. thats what i do with mine when it rains. i would say go with the injen CAI but make sure that its the one that can be made into a short ram on those rainy days. that just me cuz i love injen. but you should look into the weapon r intakes they give out really good results

thanks for the reply guys, for the injen cai, if it can be adjusted to become short ram, wouldnt it be such a hassle to keep converting it back n fourth?

Sandman, if you like your Stillen exhaust check out their intakes for your model sedan. They should make one made with composit that doesn't suffer from heat soak like the metal intakes. Look on line or here's Stillen's number 800-889--9043. It must be nice to put your dipstick back without a flashlight....
