g37 auto has better mpg than 6mt version?
thats wat it says on the infiniti site. hows that so? i thought manual supposed to save gas

the automatic is a 7 speed and it is very fuel efficient...i get about 22 mpg on mine.

not so true anymore.

Most newer cars MPGs are 1mpg or so better with an auto

this is only true for 09+ models. its because of the 7spd transmission. more gears = lower rpm = better fuel economy. Its also faster too.

well i have a 07 atm and i get 300 miles on a tank of gas..

I have a '05 G35 Coupe

highway i get 30.9 mpg

city i get 18 mpg

Maybe it's because the base model doesn't include all the bells and whistle.. The 6mt includes a larger and probably heavier rims, sports package, sunroof... etc etc..
