....^....screensaver has the right idea, you might have to take your car in so the ticket can be written off. Depends on the state/court laws where you reside....give em a call!

Typically on a fix it ticket, if you haven't ever had one, you can fix it and show proof then take it to a police station and they will take care of it. Normally I've seen people do this with no out of pocket.
I got 6k in my side marker neva had any issues. I had a cop follow me from the i95 to my job parking lot. He was like i just got the g37. he was asking all kind of questions about my exhaust,my fake audi leds LMAO and more. I thought he was going to give me a ticket for reckless driving because i floored it in second and i hit about 6k rpms and it got raspy as hell he was bedside me lol.

I got pulled over by a cop for blue lights once too. I told him that those are DOT approved and it said so on the box, he can follow me home (fvcker knew where I lived) and I'll show it to him.

He just said........Have a nice evening.

I got the same thing. Go to a precinct and show them you changed your lights, similar to a fix-it ticket.

What about blue-tinted headlight bulbs that I found at a local
auto parts store, or on the internet? They're sold as being "DOT
Approved". Are these legal?

Probably not. There's no such thing as "DOT approved". DOT does not
"approve" products as the European regulatory body does. Rather, the
manufacturer of an item of motor vehicle equipment is legally
obligated to self-certify that his product complies with all applicable
regulations. For some items of equipment, such as headlamp bulbs, the
certification takes the form of a "DOT" marking on the bulb base.

However, there is no legal obligation for the manufacturer to submit
his product for government testing before applying the marking, and
many companies go ahead and apply the marking even to bulbs that
do not comply with the law. The relevant regulations (US Federal Motor
Vehicle Safety Standard 108, Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
108 and 108.1, and ECE Regulations 8, 20, 37, 98, 99, 112 and 113
all call for "white" light, defined as discussed above, so the statement
of DOT compliance itself is false for a bulb that emits a light color
obviously different from "white".

Well i alse think DOT approved doesnt means they wont give you a ticket. And this is the code my ticket was written under 316.2397 i search it and this is what i found out i gues anything blue or red is illegal no matter what.

This is for FL dont know if its the same for others states.

316.2397 Certain lights prohibited; exceptions.

(1) No person shall drive or move or cause to be moved any vehicle or equipment upon any highway within this state with any lamp or device thereon showing or displaying a red or blue light visible from directly in front thereof except for certain vehicles hereinafter provided.

(2) It is expressly prohibited for any vehicle or equipment, except police vehicles, to show or display blue lights. However, vehicles owned, operated, or leased by the Department of Corrections or any county correctional agency may show or display blue lights when responding to emergencies.

Well now i know i deserver the ticket for braking the law LOl Anyways i got a question

i have a friend at work who is a cop and he signed me the back of the ticket ( which is for policed use only and it says i certify(THE COP) that the equiqment on this vehicle described herein as indicated on the front of this citation has been corrected and upon this date complies with the requirements of the trafic laws of florida).

What u guys think i should do next tak it to a police station n pay the ticket since its " already fix the lights" its not gona be $130 anymore but maybe its like half he told me not sure or should i put the case on court n take before and after pic of the lights and since is signed by a cop like i already fix it i probably wont have to pay anything? Any input guys anyone who pass trough this before would appreciate the help.

Whether or not you get pulled over depends on how badly the cop feels like stopping you. I have had illegal tint on my car for two years, was pulled over for other reasons and the tint was never mentioned. My car looks stock and subtle. However my friend in a loud flashy car get a ticket every other month it seems.

Cops will use these minor infractions to make contact with you. If you want to call attention to your car with things that stand out from the crowd, then you need to be prepared to receive negative attention as well.

Other factors simply are how bored the cop is. I know in Boston, cops are too busy with major crimes that I can drive a little relaxed on the street. But if I go into the suburbs, where not much goes on, I find myself being pulled over for more minor things.

But blue lights are illegal period...so there Is no real way out

Just because one cop doesnt pull you over doesnt mean another cop wont. Some guys are sticklers for traffic enforcement, some guys arent. Cops aren't robots they dont pull over every single car every single day for all the violations out there. I can tell you I pulled people over for blue lights but only if they were on the front of the car and were actually blue. Hyper-white I let slide.
