Thanks! And Headlights from 06-07 will fit bolt-on on 04? Do I need new ballast or only the new hid lights?

Yes, the lights from the 06-07 are direct plug and play. The ballast from the earlier lights will work, but you do need new bulbs.

You can get a good deal on these from our forum sponsors. When I bought mine, they came with the bulbs, and I just had to swap the ballasts.

^06-07 headlights look way better too! but im at 40k miles now and i had to replace brake hardware due to loud groaning sound(changed pads but they used old rusted hardware so i put new pads and hardware anyway) and i have the axle click issue. everything else is fine right now(finger crossed )

My 2004:

2x windows motors died
1x power door lock motor died
CD/Radio head unit died
axle click
door rattles
mirror rattles
upper glove box leather peeling off
clock lights burned out
seat rails starting to go bad - not fixed yet

all under 58k miles.

Glad I've got the Infiniti Elite extended warranty for another 12k miles. I'll be selling before the warranty expires. I've never had this many issues with a car with similar mileage. My STi had 68k miles and my Lightning had 69k whent they were traded and only had one warranty claim between the two vehicles.

Man I've had most of those problems minus the sunroof and rails...but I LOVE THE CAR!!!! I dont care, I love my G. I'll keep fixing and fixing but I love her. I can afford to fix her more than the 330 I was looking at. Every car has little issues. If I blow my 03 up I'll get an 06 next! Lol.

My 04 has 68K on it and I'm just having the door lock issue. Axle click was fixed when I bought it. Oh yeah, and one of the TSB's is for slow seat belt retracting, had that, fixed with kit from TSB.

I use to be really pissed about this type of stuff. But then I realized, I bought a rebadged Nissan. So now it all makes sense. Don't expect quality just because you bought an Infinti. Behind the Infiniti badge, we a rear wheel drive Altima Coupe.

I'm not pissed so much as disappointed. I had less problems with a Subaru and Ford with more miles. Infiniti's name implies a certain level of quality, being a premium brand. I just don't see the quality after all the problems I've had

Well 04 G35-4 at 58k

Compression rods replaced at 30k (warranty)
Front + rear rotors and pads replaced at 30k (warranty)

As of late engine will stall upon warm start - have to give throttle a gentle tap for it to idle!
Rear axle clunks when going over bumps
Front brakes squeal at low speeds (I have frozen rotors ready)
Upper glove box leather is loose - time to remove it and glue it back with better stuff.
Driver seat has a small rock, but its at max extension.
Gas millage - I should not bother...

Everything else seems to be ok - would like to figure whats causing that warm re-start idle issue.
