Help me convince the dealership

So, a while ago I brought my car in for a rattle in the passenger side dash. Well, it took two trips to get it fixed and after each time another vertical discoloration had appeared about where the airbag is. It looks like bend marks in the plastic as if they simply pulled up the corner of the dash. It's pretty noticeable and irritating, so my last time at the dealership I asked them to fix it. The service guy said that was normal and that the dash was thin and "transparent" there so the airbag could deploy properly and refused to fix it. I let it go, but over time it's gotten to me and irritates me every time I look at it. Especially since it wasn't like that before I brought it in.

Now, here's where you all come in. I'm bringing my car in to get some other things fixed and I'd like to bring up the dash again with the manager. It would help me if I knew how common this was. So, if you don't mind letting me know if you all have this on your dash and if it occurred after work on your dash. I've attached a picture and it doesn't show up terribly well, but you can kind of see two vertical lines going down the dash.

Thanks for your help!

My dash doesn't have that, although I have never had work done on it there. I did install a direct connect for my ipod tho(needed to get to the rear of the radio). Gl and I would def bring it up to the manager and see what he/she can do for you, you never know til you ask...

I did try armor all and that kind of stuff, but it becomes noticeable again after a couple of days. I also busted out a straight edge and can see where there are two slight bumps at each line.

I think you need to be calling Infiniti. The number is in the owners manual. Thats one reason they are available to us...to fix the dealers who screw us around.

Good call. If they still continue to give me grief about fixing it, then I'll give them a call.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I used the poll results as evidence when convincing the guy the dealership needs to fix it. He said "he'll have to look into it" as well as "look" into whether or not he'll be able to fix my creaking window under warranty since my car was previously repainted. I'm nervous about how much they're going to fix, but we'll see. I hate dealing with fawking dealerships!

Regardless, I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Thanks again!
