Wow Sean, having a blow out on the freeway at 70 MPH can sure get your attention....sorry man! Tow truck drivers aren't the bright bulb in the 4pk, I learned a long time ago they need very close supervision. Lucky your wheel survived and maybe the exhaust isn't too damaged, glad you're alright!!

Wow, I just got on the forum and was shocked that this was already up to 3 pages. Thank you all so much for the support. It really confirms how great of a community this really is.

This was no fault of the Falkens. Once I removed the wheel, I found a giant metal stud right in the middle of the tread. It pushed all the way through and the air all let out through its hollow center. The entire weight of the car was riding on the flattened inner sidewall which shredded it.

In the meantime, a few stickers may have to be the fix for the bumper.

The wosrt part of all this is that all of this happened while driving home from work early to spend time with my grieving family because our 14 year old dog died early that morning.

I am just ready for this week to be over.

Still faithfull,

-Sean

Oh wow, that stud caused a lot of damage... any idea where it was kicked up from?

sorry to hear about your dog.... I know the feeling. I had a chowchow and a husky. Felt like my heart was torn out of my body when I lost them.... I can't own another dog just yet, and it's been a good 3 years. Glad you had 14 years with your dog, I did about the same too.

Sean, I feel far worse about losing your dog that's been a member of your family for 14 years than I do about your G35. Sorry Sean....

Sean, sorry to hear about the dog. The tire is nothing more than a distraction at this point. Good dogs are hard to come by and loyal to the very end.
