Headlight out

My left headlight is out - Dealer told me that the ballast needs to be replaced - part & labor $750. Does this make sense? Is there a ballast for each headlight or one that controls both headlights?

check the classifieds... dealerships are ripoffs!

Labor? How hard is it to jack the car up, take the wheel off, and remove the splash guard to gain access to the back of the headlight?

^ Well i think you have to take out the headlight, which isn't that hard of all. The hardest part is unplugging the harness because its tricky haha.
