The drop is unlikely springs they're too low.

And if they are springs they Tanabes, which if you're dumb enough to buy off your local parts dealer they cost $380 MSRP If you dumb enough to not install your own springs or not have your own mechanic that is honest with you install costs $500 and they tack on your $100 alignment (which is still clearly out of spec). In his/her eyes, lowering the car just cost $980 before taxes.

Person probably just got racked over the coals on all the parts and labor.
