Helllo everyone. Ben lurkin now for about a year and ben lookin to get a g for longer. Now the time is rite and I have found a silver 05 6 speed. Only thing is is that I'm not sure if its a sport. I'm buyin it from a used car lot for a lot less then I woulda thought I could find an 05. That is if the bank likes the car. Lol. Anyhow just a few quik questions. From wat I ve read the 6speed always has the viscous lsd and the 05 are rev up motors so I know I need to check that out as well. Is there anyy way to know if it has the aero package? Thanks everyone and I will know buy Tuesday nif I'm gettin the car.

quick correction... only the 05+ 6MT vq35de's are rev-up... the automatics are non-revup.

correct me, someone, if i'm wrong but i think the aero has the spoiler.

Its a 6mt. I googled it and from wati was reading u can purchase the aero pakage without the spoiler. But I'm doubting it Is. I want the spoiler anyways so later on I will get the aero package from somwhwere. That is if I do get the car. Its got 18s so I know it doesn't have the suspension wheel package. But that doesn't matter all to much.

I'm just wondering about the rearend. Anyone know wat letters I should look for on the dealerss tag that is uaslly in the trunk from assembly.

According to this website the aerokit reguires the sports tunning kit package and it doesn't have the 19s so it doesn't have the sport tuning kit package. Damn. http://www.automotive.com/2005/101/i...ges/index.html

If it has oem 18's on it, it is not a 05 6mt unless the previous owner changed the wheels. It should have the oem 19 rays on it.

In the link I posted it shows a sports suspension pakage with the 19s and a perfomance tire and wheel package with 18s. I'm assuming it got the perfomance tire and wheel pakage.

Just check and see if it has the orange stitching on the steering wheel.

The orange stitching is for the sports pakage. And that would be with the 19 in wheels. Both packages have lsd but I'm hoping they both pakages have the samee type lsd r should I say I hope the performace package lsd is the same as the sports pakage lsd.

Pretty unlikely that they'd offer multiple lsd's for one model based on package, just from a manufacturing standpoint you're adding extra parts and pieces to track for no real gain. I'd bet it's the same lsd on all of them in a certain year, if they have that option.

Of the things listed in your posts (suspension, aero components, lsd, wheels) I wouldn't worry too much about them. Given enough time you'll replace all of that with upgrades anyway, just drive it and enjoy it. If it's an '05 6MT it's got the Rev-Up engine and that's the only real difference between years/models/packages that (probably) won't change.

Good point leksikon on the lsd,s. Wouldn't make much since forr infiniti to change things like that.

Also rite on the other things as well cuz the first upgrade will be. Coil over kit and a camber kit. I really like the factory 19s but really want somthing with more lip to it and I reeally dig the offsets and stretched tire look/trend. I really think that sets it off nice.

I've never ebn a fan of body kits but the g seems to have a few kits that are subtle yet aggressive. Nothing like the honda crowd. Reason I say that is that's wat I've always had is a civic but left the body stock and would get coil overs wheels and build my own turbo kit and tune it myselff as well but I now feel its time to step up the game and go rwd vip. Lol. And befor anyone tried to hate on my honda past just know that my hondas looked stock sounded good and was runnin 20#s of boost. Somewhere round the 320whp mark. Man do I miss those cars. Lol.

Rite now I'm driven an 03 cts cuz i wanted to try something diff. Well I love the rwd just hate the automatic tranny.

Since you didn't give us too much information about the G35 (mileage etc) you need to get a CARFAX before laying down the $$. Also, with the vin number check with Infiniti to see if it's ever been serviced by them. It would be nice to have some kind of history....

yea ima get a car fax for sure. anyone on here got an account? do i just go to the infiniti site to check the history with the vin? the car has 89000 miles and looks clean from all the pics i have seen. biggest problem is that it is 300 miles away at a used car lot.
