Tomorrow was yesterday, I'm just sayin...

 

We're half way thru today which yesterday was tomorrow if you recall and still zero pic or vid....what the? I had a Magnaflow exhaust that was sponsored to me, I ran it for about 6 months. Since it didn't sound any better than the OE system I sold it and bought the incredible HKS real dual cat-back system that looks as good as it sounds. I guess we'll have to crawl under eurodre's ride to see what he's been bragging about at the next meet....or not!

^^oh its not the magnaflow system, its just the muffle and the resonator from midpipe cut out

from what I believe the magnaflow actual exhaust system and pipes sounds a lot different

 

I don't recall my Magnaflow system have any resonators and I even had a Fuji y-pipe which apparently didn't help that systems sound. Hope yours sounds good....by the way where's the pic/vid today's almost history?

Gary, he meant cutting out the resonator from the OEM midpipe. Only thing Magnaflow he has is the muffler.

 

I know exactly what eurodre meant, I didn't have resonators either but we probably shared the same muffler that didn't sound any better than OE! That's the point I was making....and he still hasen't posted pic or vid! Johnny, you should have never started this thread.... Gary

 

actually it does sound better than oem a whole lot better and having been around and heard many aftermarket exhausts imo it sounds better than those as well

so dunno which magnaflow you got, but things changed since the 80s

Nothing much changed between the '40s & '50s but in the mid '60 my muffler shop came up with the crossover which equaled the sound/vibes between dual systems which is still used in todays world but the X pipes does an even better job mixing the vibrations/sound. You know of course Magnaflow makes one of the best but since you have a y-pipe to single you can't take advantage of what mixing the sound offers....sorry!
