The IPL is not worth the extra 10k...

Especially when the numbers shows that the IPL isn't that much faster than the STOCK G37.

Inferior Performance Lineup.

10k? Where did you get that?

IPL Coupe
Base MSRP* $49,850.00
Configured MSRP* $49,850.00
Destination and Handling $875.00
Total MSRP* $50,725.00

6mt Coupe
Base MSRP* $42,850.00
Packages and Options
Aerodynamic Package $3,950.00
Configured MSRP* $46,800.00
Destination and Handling $875.00
Total MSRP* $47,675.00

Just over 3k difference when optioned out the same, and you get a different ECU, exhaust, differently tuned suspension, different wheels, and slightly different interior. I think that's worth it.

47k for a G now? LOL, no wonder they aren't selling like the G35 did. Remember the biggest selling point for the G35 was the price. @ 35k+....

At 47K, I rather get a Lexus.

Edit: Your comparing a fully loaded 6mt to a base IPL. LOL

How about we compare a base model G with a base model IPL?

That's about 10k right thur.

Jibby...please go to the Lexus site price an IS350. Don't go cheap when you hit the section where you can add the available IS-F parts that everyone on this forum would demand. IS-F brakes, Lowering springs, 19 inch forged wheels with high performance tires and high performance intake and exhaust. Ok I'll do it for you...$56,063.

You seem to have a little problem with price unless you want to go cheap.
A little more for a desirable Lexus than your $47,000.

The reason the IPL is the IPL. Alot of the accessories you would usually order come standard as part of the IPL package. That is not the case with the standard G37 6MT.

There are no options on the IPL, it's got every single option already. So yeah, a "base" IPL is like a 6mt coupe (they also come with every single option now $42,850) with the Aero kit($3,950), with the IPL specific wheels, the IPL interior, IPL Exhaust, IPL ECU, IPL tuned suspension....so like I said, 3k for all the stuff (minus the aero kit) is worth it to have a car that is not a "regular" G37S. So for $47,950 it's a good deal for someone looking to have everything put on at the factory, with factory fit and finish, and no hassles with a warranty.

And the price matches the car. Look at how many more options you have on the 37 vs. the 35, plus the quality of the materials has been increased. Not only that, with the inflation, plus the automotive market having a steady price increase over time, what else would you expect to pay for a fully loaded G37?

EDIT: Sorry, I was actually wrong, the 50k price is for a IPL G37 Coupe Auto, the 6mt, comparable to the G37S with the Aero kit is $48,825. So a G37S 6mt with the Aero package is $47,675. So $1150 price difference and you get IPL specific ECU, Exhaust, Wheels, Interior (stitching or full red leather), and IPL specific color? Really not a bad deal.

Why? I mean do not get me wrong, I fell in love with the S5 (older V8) myself, but even if you go onto something like ebay motors you could get a R-35 GTR for the same price as an S5 with the same mileage. Both with proly cost the same in maintenance. I would much rather have the GTR than the S5. But yes gotta love the refinement of the Audi.
