Gas Poll

Took a long trip this weekend and premium was 4.15 a gallon so I put in 89 just to see what happened. It was mostly highway miles but I got 24.5mpg instead of the usual 19.9mpg (according to my navigation meter)

I am curious as to how you all feel about different ocatne levels in our cars.

I have been reading that thread and was inspired to make a poll. I like to see numbers.

91 oct. I would pay for higher octane if there was a local station that had it here. Power and torque is my goal, not MPG.

I would feel sorry for anyone who bought a g35 in the hopes of good gas mileage

Precisely. I was getting 13-14MPG in my G35 with about 50/50 city and highway. Hilly SF might be the reason.

Now I get about 25-28MPG in my evo.

Before I had the engine changed out by the dealer due to the oil consumption issue, I would only get about 15-16 mpg. Now, from what I am told, the car is getting about 20-22 with 93 oct gas.

Chevron/Shell 91 octane always, saw premium for $4.69 this weekend in Burbank but it's still $4.09 in Santa Clarita. Hope Obama taps into our reserve since we're paying highest prices in the country....speculation in this country sucks!
