This thread made me think of my first car... It was an '00 Maxima. My sunroof had a terrible leak and so everytime it rained, the next time I would crack open my sunroof water would come pouring in. But only on person sitting shotgun

Let's just say I had fun with that a couple times haha.

01 Ford Lightning - bad gas milage but I loved it, 422 RWHP, 508 torque, never had a problem. Very reliable and strong running. Regretted selling it.
06 Subaru STi - bad gas milage, boy racer image, everyone wanted to race, loud, rough ride, expensive to insure.
04 G35 Coupe - not mod friendly, slowest car I'd owned in a long time, lots of problems but covered by warranty.
08 Jeep SRT8 - love it, gas milage is rotten (12.5) but I knew that ahead of time.
Ford Lightning FTW! Always wanted one of those.

It was a blast to drive. Most people had no clue what it was or what they were up against. It had a nice Borla exhaust and ported Eaton, supercharger made a sweet whine

Hmmmm..

1992 Toyota Camry - Didn't have this one for that long. Relatives gave it to me to use as a practice car. Exterior was in bad shape, but the car ran fine.. it's at 240k miles and they still have it lol. Still wanna fix it up though. It'll give me something to work on.

1998 Lexus ES300 - First real car. Salvaged title. Got it off some people that my relatives knew for cheap. 88k miles Had it for around 2 years or so. Never had a problem. Not enough ponies to back it up though and it looked like an old person's car so some people gave me crap about that lol.

My current car.. this car.. the gas lid actuator died out. Still need to get that replaced.. the radio headunit.. something's loose so pretty often everything on it just goes blank and I can't use the buttons don't work. Gotta take it apart later on... and oh when I got the car the engine adjustment motor wasn't working on the drive side. The cost to replace the whole part was like $700 or something. Took it apart.. cleaned it out.. reconnected some stuff and it worked. Alot of annoying small problems.. there's some rattling on the drive side door too.

'99 Audi A4 V6. A slug, and the worst dealer in the world. I once dropped off the car at 7:30 am and took their shuttle to work and back. Hour and a half out of my day, and when they got me back there at 5:30, they had not managed to change the oil yet. Something that any tech who hasn't already starved to death can do in 15min.

Couldn't you just unlock the door with the key?

'65 Mustang - Didn't own this car long enough to have any major issues, but it needed a ton of work and I had no money.
'86 S-10 Blazer Sport - Didn't really have any problems except high mileage. Loved this car and my brother totaled it the day after I passed it down to him.
'98 Explorer Sport - No major problems with this one either. My brother still drives it and it's falling apart now.
'04 F-150 FX4 - Good truck overall, but had a few issues due to being the first year of a new model. The window switches went out frequently and the windows rolled up extremely slowly. The vacuum engaged 4x4 system is also a joke. Spent over $1K replacing parts and it still didn't work correctly.

1991 S10 - slow, no power options, no radio(stock)
1998 SS - loved this car, no complaints really. Heavily modified(heads, cam, long tubes, intake, full SLP exhaust 440whp on 91 octane), had a few issues with a few water pumps going bad for some reason.
2004 SE-R Spec V - loved this car until the engine ate itself and Nissan tried ****ing me on warranty work. Had 10k miles on it when it broke itself. Got rid of it the day I got it back from the dealer. Had CAI, header, and exhaust on it at one point.
2004 GTI 1.8T - no complaints, loved everything about it. Heavily modified (T3/4 Super 60, turbo back, FMIC, built bottom end, coilovers, short shifter, custom stereo), never had any issues.
2007 GLI Package 1 - Still no complaints, loved everything about this car too (stock)
2008 GLI Package 2- Same....loved the previous car, just wanted more options(stock)
2008 R32 - Perfect car for driving it year round(stock)
2007 G35 sport - cheap interior, and for some reason, everyone always wanted to race me (lowered, wheels, exhaust, custom stereo, springs and shocks)
2008 R32 - Got tired of the G35 and picked up another R32, this time in white, but got bored of it and went car shopping(stock)
2008 G37S - Aside from a lot of dealer visits for the stuff that's gone wrong with it, I love this car.(stock) Probably the second best car I've owned, with the R32s being the first, purely based on fit and finish. Plus, as good as the G37 sounds, that 3.2L narrow angle VR6 sounds ten times better.

This being an Infiniti G forum, I first thought you meant the Skyline R32, but then I realized you meant the VW Golf model.

It would be a whole essay to name everything but my last car kept breaking down. Had to change everything out. Acura Vigor had 200k miles on it before i sold it.

Nothing. I always loved my cars (and there have been a butt-ton) until it was time to move on and usually remember them with a smile on my face.

Mechanical objects break - I never held that against the car. If it got excessive (which never happened) I'd move on more quickly, but I've been very fortunate over the years.

Maybe it's because I never beat the $hit out of them. Dunno.

I usually get bored with a car before it causes me issues. One of the disadvantages of being able to drive pretty much whatever you want I guess.

My Chevrolegs would get tired to quickly and would have to take constant breaks.
