Dr.Colorchip or go to Pro?

Well guys i was driving one day and just my luck.

Some guy on the side was mowing this huge grass friend and RIGHT when i drove pass it shot a rock at me. Out of ALL the places and timing, it hit me..

Anyways here are the pics, do you guys think the dr.colorchip would work good or do you think i should just take it to a shop to get it touched it. (he said he'd charge like 40-50)

Its about a dime size and one of them is deep enough showing the metal.

Those spots are just water spots btw

That seems too big for Dr.colorchip. $40-$50 is alot for something so small, but I guess if you were to buy the paint and the primer and the clearcoat.. it would even out, but you'd have some extra paint for repairs in the futire.

I did dr color chip on one that was about 50% that size. It came out very good.

I highly recommend building it up. It can't hurt to try... I did about 100-150 small chips on my car (also red) and the match was perfect.

If your really OCD about your car, I'd go with the pro. Although I've never used Dr Colorchip I have used Langka which is a similar product and it's impossible to do a fix that won't show close up. if the chip were about an 1/8th of an inch maybe, but not dime sized. Also, Dr Colorchip and the Langka kit are not cheap.

You have two issues and although Dr.Colorchip is a good touch up paint you're way beyond there ability. Time to repaint those areas, that's the right fix!

Yeh i didnt realize it damaged my car until later that night in the garage. A mistake learned though.

The shop would charge me 40-50 to fix and buff it and all. Pretty much same price as DrChip, so ill probably do that. Thanks guys!
