I have an older passport 7500, and when I hit big bumps sometimes the buttons on the top hits the bottom of the mirror, and it changes modes. I will try the felt trick to see if that holds!

I have a RMR radar/scrambler and I bent the metal bracket it comes with so it fits tight below the mirror and no issues ever, I have even moved the one from my truck to 4 different trucks now and no issues stripping bolts yet either.

personally after having the mike's then buying the blendmount , i like the blendmount way better. i have the escort 9500ix and found that i had to bend the original metal mount in order to fit it into the mike's mount. with the blendmount you don't have to do that and there is more adjustability with the blend. but the price is almost 4x that of the mike's . so if price is an issue, mike's does the job just fine..

Where/how do you get the Mike's mount? There are lots of threads about it but I haven't run across one that tells how you order it.

I just picked up one for my new Nissan Frontier Pick up, He shipped it fast and his quallity is way better than it was when I bought my first one six years ago (still in use). For the price ($23 shipped) you can't go wrong.

i had the mikes mount and invisicord with my x50. the mount fit snug. no rattles there.....i did have some rattles where the radar clip slid into the detector itself so i put some felt tape in between. i then put a lil rubber grommet that put some tension on the detector underneath the mirror so it didnt move any. then i had a rattle out of my mirror....due to the bass from the system but thats another story.

mikes mount and invisicord FTW!

I had a mikes mount for my v1 and now have a blendmount for both my v1 and escort 8500. If you want economy and don't mind the adjustment issues and rattling, the mikes mount is fine. If you want a quality machined/black anodized all aluminum solid mount with both angular and length adjustability, pay the extra for the blendmount.

Edit: my review and past group buy.

I have the Blendmount and Invisicord and setup for my Valentine One and have no complaints. Some of the best money I've ever spent.
