forged or machined wheels

So heres the scoop, Im in the market to swap out my boss 20" wheels and chuck those and replace with a new staggered set of ???

Theres so many options out there and alot look sweet and alot look crappy. So I set my eyes on couple options:

1. Niche Ciruit matte black
2. Cordon CR-10
3. Rays
4. ????

So I kinda want all your inputs on a good set of staggered rims that look sweet on the G35 and what offsets your thinking. I was looking arounf like 20x8.5 front with offset of like +20-25? and 20x10.5 with similar offset.
What do you guys think?

I think you need to look around the forum and find something you like and go from there. The sizes and offsets you listed are whack. 9.5 +15 and 10.5 +15 are the highest you want to be looking at for nice fitment.

I think the niche and cordon wheels you listed are hideous and rays makes 100s of wheels so that is pretty broad. It looks like you are into mesh wheels Work VS-XXs are worth a look or Volk SF Winnings.

I am not sure what the title means? Forged is a type of manufacturing and machined is a finish so you could have Forged wheel with a machined finish!!

see I dont want the offset to be too much to where the wheels hella stick out cuz that could look ugly, i guess if people can explain it plus like which tires to get and size that would be cool. still a noob for all that stuff

I guess people can't tell you what you will like, so do some research and find sizes and offsets that you think look good, most people will also list tires sizes or you can pm them. But the sizes and offsets you listed will be super sunk...maybe that is what you like

In the media share section there are 1000s of pictures of G35s with aftermarket wheels time to start looking.

You really need to look around these forums...there are literally hundreds of photos showing all kinds of wheels on this car.

What kind of look are you going for and what's your wheel budget? That'll really help you narrow down your choices.

Also, as SylvanLake said, 8.5 +20 in the front is weak.

+15 sticks out more right? well budget is lets say up to 2k for staggered wheels. I want to get more or less a concave mesh look, tired of the lips so kinda like the forged 360 wheels but those are crazy expensive thats why niche circuits come close and are good price. I just wanna know what offsets are good and tire size. they recommend something like 275/30/20 but not sure if thats good or bad. see my dilemma?

Yes, +15 will "stick out" more.

Are you dropped?

Are you looking for the wheels to be sunk in, flush with the fender, or poking out a little? That will help us help you.

Here's a pic of coupes with sunken wheels and a sedan (mine) with what I consider perfect fitment. Wheels stick out from the fender about 1-2 mm and the tire fills the well perfectly. Even the GTR is hella sunk.

Your one and only hand out from me.

You didn't specify if you had a Coupe or a Sedan.

Coupe:

Sedan:
http://rimtuck.com/thumbnails.php?ve...del=G35+sedan&

Go through that, look at the fitments, look at the offsets, and look at the wheel and tire sizes.

Mothereffer don't get me started on that shizz, although I gotta give it to you, that was funny.

You'd be surprised at how functional the drop is. I had to haul 325# of ice in the trunk a couple of weeks ago and absolutely no rubbing happened so bring on Big Mama!! I was pleasantly surprised.....
