G35 coupe price too high?

http://www.groteautomotive.com/2005-...-IN/vd/7226166

Hi, I've been looking for a car for quite a while now and have been really picky about the quality. I recently came across this car at a local dealership. Initially they wanted 18.9k for the car and I thought it was WAY too high. I would trade in my DD for the car for 1.2k. I test drove the car and inspected it myself and it was really clean. He said he could give me a 3-month 1,000 mile warranty with the car.

I left the dealership and told him if he decides to come down on the price to give me a call. Well he said he wanted my car for some reason and said he would give me 2.5k for my car and then lower the price to 17.9k. So what I would be paying is 15.4k. The car does have some minor issues (the paint on the hood above the headlight was starting to bubble, the usual scratches, and the paint had some swirls in it) but that's what is expected with a 6 year old car + most of that stuff I could fix myself.

Later that day I went to go look at a BOM (that's the color for those who don't know much about an RSX) RSX-S, this car has 1 owner, 68k miles, better condition than the g35 with no major flaws. He said he would give me 2k for my car and sell me his car for 10k.

Basically I want to know what you guys think... Do you guys think the G35 is too high priced? Do you think I should go for the RSX since it is cheaper and has lower miles? I basically don't want to look back and be like, man I should have bought the RSX/G35. /rant

I would like some feedback to what you guys think

I live in Fort Wayne and have a 2005 coupe, 24,000 miles A/T Showroom condition. Has never seen snow. With brand new tires that I would take 18,500 for it. Let me know if interested.

I agree, I'm from the IN/OH boarder and when they car was initially posted it didn't have a price, so I called and asked for the price and he said he wasn't sure he'd check and call me back. I was going to Ft. Wayne anyways to get fitted for a tux, so I told him I would stop by. When he said it was 18.9k I was like ... You've got to be kidding me.

I would really consider this car if it was a manual... That's the main thing I'm looking for. I was going to ask you how it was driving in the winter, but since it's never seen snow I guess you wouldn't know . This car would be my daily driver so I'm trying to think about road conditions in the winter and how hard it would be to drive. Two of my buddy's drive 350's and both of them park it... Which is something I don't have room for anymore.

Alright cool, thanks for the help guys.. I've seen cheaper too, I just wanted to see what other people thought. I don't know much about G35's, I know more about the RSX. The dealer said it was a rare color and it had a $1500 exhaust, except he didn't know the name of it lol. I'll keep lookin~

That is a very clean coupe but with that kinda mileage s/b $3K less. You could offer him less especially if you see that it hasn't sold....

way too overpriced. 15k is wat i'd pay. I bought my 05 2 yrs ago for 16k and 60k miles. the dealer is delusional if he thinks he can sell this car for 18k.

KBB has it at 19k.

Prices when up on all cars from Japan.

My G is valued at 25k. A few months ago, it was 20k.
