Well i'm mad as hell.
Car went into the shop to get the brake pads changed and the tech found this. Gotta call BC to get new sleeves now, but they're at SEMA.

Id be happy as hell they saw it. A part like that breaking could cause a really bad accident.
|
Yea id be happy..
Even tho it sucks |
looks like it shifted from where it was..( the dark spot) looks like thats where it was b4...maybe this forgot to be tightened up all the way when installed?
either way good thing they saw it.. maybe you can have it welded back up till you can get a new one replaced |
dam thats scary! good luck getting it replaced man!
|
Why are you mad again? They found something that was broken. I know it might cost more but safety first!
|
Mad at the situation! But i'm glad it was found now then later. Time to shell out more cash.
|
But cheaper then the dealers right?
|
Looks like a pot hole + tightened way too much.
Personally hand torquing wrenching every single bolt I touch ftw. On that note, not replacing the pads your self? DIY might have prevented your situation. Edit: BTW that specific bolt should be to 60 ft/lbs. |

Poor material used?
|
what am i looking at/for here?
sorry. a noob |
While I'm not familiar with the V36, on any car this is a big DO NOT DRIVE until this is replaced.
That is the front lower strut? Right? Scary. |
Yup bottom right strut. Waiting for BC to get back from SEMA so they can ship my struts back
|
DUDE! I need something from BC as well and got the same message!
