how much HP can stock engine handle

hello everyone, how much power can a stock 04 g35 engine handle on a SC.ive seen that they can usually go up to 412hp before they start having problems and internals go bad so you need to switch to forged and possibly better cooling

14 lbs of boost, 600whp on an automatic transmission with no oil coolers or valve body upgrade.

Guys have made well over 500whp on stock engines however typically 400ftlbs of torque is the limits of a typical stock engine so that should put you around 450whp. People have blown engines at 320whp though, lots of variables that effect it. With the proper supporting mods and an excellent tuner 450whp should be ok and 400whp should be fairly safe. That being said it could bend a rod at 350whp if you cut coners or your tuner is not competent

I had only 373whp on my first set up before I cracked two pistons on my stock block.

I have been running 393whp since with no issues after the rebuild.

The tune is VERY importance...but like everyone said, there are many variables that can effect the early end to a stock VQ on boost.

The stock motor can barely handle itself. LOL.... Look at the REVUP motors!

Wow, I'm impressed the VQ can make that much power at such a low amount of boost. 393 @ 5.5 psi. Makes me want to buy a second G .
