I want to make this thread to warn people and to show how much of a dou$h this member is (GermanDrft)

He has had a bunch of for sale threads in the marketplace lately and i want to make sure nobody buys from him!!!!

I bought a white iPhone 4s from him about a week ago for my wife since she has wanted one since they came out...communication was good up until he sent me the "tracking #" for my package and then i couldn't get ahold of him

Well i finally received the package today like FedEx tracking said it would which was somewhat of a good sign until i opened the package itself....inside was not an iPhone but a model car set of a Shelby GT500!!! This little Fu<k messed with the wrong person because i hate people who do **** like this!!!! I will include pictures of both the contents of the box as well as the shipping information on the outside to see if anybody near him can help a brother out with some justice!!!

I hope this was just an honest mistake, they happen. BUT the longer you go with no communication from him the worse it looks. Hopefully he will do the right thing and take care of you and even respond to this thread.

I can't find when he logged on last (info seems to have disappeared from profiles) but he did have his screen name changed on 1/20. If he's another scammer I hope he's ready for karma to f him in the a.

Paypal is going to **** on you because there's proof of shipment (tr #), even if it's the wrong item. They'll side with the scammer...

Contact your CC company asap, they're way more helpful.

Have you not used paypal before because they have a resolution system that highlights items that when received are completely different from what you bought so all i would have to do is send the package back and i get a full refund or if he doesn't respond to paypal within 10 days i automatically get the money back from them

Read about many horror stories when dealing with PP on transactions not through eBay. I avoid it unless it's absolutely necessary and I pay through CC just in case **** happens.

Best of luck to you

Don't assume PayPal will be giving your money back in 10 days.

I bought a laptop online a couple years back and paid $1000 through paypal to this scammer. He claimed he delivered the laptop in person (the douche lived in Arizona.. I'm in Cali... hand delivery? Doubtful) and provided a fake tracking # to paypal. I opened a claim with paypal and they closed it in HIS favor just because he provided a tracking # (which didn't even work). Multiple phone calls to paypal and they still wouldn't side with me. Complete idiots. It took a complaint to the BBB and I finally get a call from some lady who works at paypal and reimbursed me $1k out of their own pockets because the scammer had already emptied their paypal account.

Just a fair warning. Since you used CC, I wouldn't hesitate to contact your CC and cancel the transaction through them and explain your situation. They can do much more than what Paypal can do, because once your CC sides with you and gets your money back, Paypal takes the burn and they're forced get the money back somehow, which is through the scammer.

That's kinda funny, yet really f'ed up at the same time. I wouldn't waste my time with Paypal. Contact your credit card company directly and have them do a charge back. I've had to do this a couple of times. They will be much easier to deal with then paypal.
