I got hit by a deer 4 months ago, and the initial claim was $2,800 and the supplement was $926, so almost $4k worth of money they had to pay and my premium went down $16 / month, I just renewed with Geico.

I would just go thru insurence I can tell you right now that it's going to cost more than 2k, whole quater panel needs to be painted, door & rear bumper blended, sideskirt repainted they need to fix the gash (even a scratch needs to be bondo'd to meet up with the new paint) it's quite a bit of damage & ur insurence should not go up if you tell them you were driving down a hwy and a truck hit a tire & flung it into you, it hit you in the side thr is no way you could have avoided that.

Simple, call them and file a claim. I have full coverage and my story was close to accurate. Got a new windshield, headlights and grill. The following was repainted: hood, both front fenders, front bumper and the passenger door. Total cost was around $4K, I only paid the deductible. Thats really more like half of the exterior but I had the rear bumper and front calipers repainted too which I paid for out of pocket.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Man I feel your pain. Last year I hit an 18X18" piece of tire tread in rush hour traffic going 60 MPH. Dented my front lip, punched a hole in it, and did this to my aluminum undertray. No way I could have avoided it either. GL fixing up your baby, my UT was replaced but my lip still looks like azz.

You need to contact insurance and file a claim. I never understood why people are so reluctant to file claims with insurance. You pay all of your money to them but then are afraid to do anything if something comes up... You better get your return on investment. If something happens to my car, I will be getting it taken care of and not drive around with a busted up car. Of course, my deductible is $250 so...

OP, be very careful how you word the accident to your adjuster. If you say you hit or ran over a tire, your adjuster might mark it as an At-Fault Collision. If you say the tire either fell off the semi ahead of you and hit your car or that the semi ran over it causing it to go airborne - then the claim should be Not-At-Fault Comprehensive. Comp claims also usually have lower deductibles if you purchased Collision and Comp separately versus buying All Perils.
I work as an adjuster and everything we base our decisions off of is in the details. Essentially if you hit a stationary object (whether it should be there or not), you are At-Fault... and a sh!tty driver.
