Rear rotors all rusted

Ya gotta love these threads, the very first person that posted gave him the correct answer! Five pages later now he's using a flipin brush? Sand the rotors, mask off (newspaper & masking tape) caliper/wheel lugs then spray with Rustolem high heat paint available at most auto parts stores. Not exactly rocket science! Seriously, don't Dads teach their kids anything today?

If you are referring to the entire rotor assembly except for the area that is touched by the brake pads, the same thing happened to me a couple of years ago.

A Firestone shop put on the wrong type of rotors for our wheels.

Their solution, which has been OK was to paint that area of the rotor black.
