maybe i'm getting old here...but some of these new body mods these days really don't do anything for me.

I still turn my head when I see a nice, clean stockish looking coupe/sedan slightly lowered on a nice set of not overblown wheels

1st, yes you are getting old.

2nd, I agree. Some body mods just look bad. Its now rare to just see a simple clean G with a drop, quality wheels and just done right. Too often its a ebay kit improperly installed/painted, garbage plastidipped replica of replica wheels, and So Fresh/Fatlace/ect stickers everywhere.

These are examples of perfection in the G game.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Very simple theme, nothing that screams out hey look at me. No scoops and fins everywhere. No spaceship headlights. Simple and clean. The two cars at the top of the forum match this style as well.

When I joined back in 2005, this is how cars were being modded. The new trends just make me shake my head.

Somewhere modding stopped being about what looks good, it became about "how can I be different". The young VDub crowd is perfect example. The sh*t they do blows my mind like bike racks for no reason, rusted panels, ****, neon colors, mismatched paints, stupid amounts of stance, ect, ect, ect.
