Arrow 2003 Infiniti G35 or 2006 Mustang GT

Hello everyone,

Just wanted some advice from you all here at g35driver.

I am going to be receiving a nice amount of money soon and will have roughly $10k-$15k to spend on a car...I've been on Craigslist looking around and I think I've found what I have been looking for.

I either want to get an Infiniti G35 or a Mustang GT.

I've heard the G35s have a lot of minor problems which makes me hesitate a little bit...on the other end, I live in Michigan and we have some decent winters, I don't want to be without a car during the whole damn winter...and on top of that, G35s are so damn sexy!

Nevertheless, I've been looking at these two cars ---

Which would you choose if you had the opportunity to?

Thanks everyone for your opinion.

both are going to suck in the winter. you are on a g35 forum so obviously i like the G more, if speed matters the mustang will be slightly faster. not by much with a 4.6, that G looks really clean

But if you want speed get the mustang. If you want a sexy ride get the G.

Don't care for that G35 at all with the crappy mods. Rather have a 2003-2004 stock G35 coupe with brembo brakes (6mt) and low miles then the one you have listed with mods. Personally i would take the mustang with half the miles. Looks to be in much better condition. If you have the $$$ to spend then pick something with low miles so you are not wasting time and $$$ fixing it.

I don't like that G35 at all either. Personally i'd look for a better choice to compare that mustang to.

For looks, G35. For performance, GT. No question. Just depends on what you're going for. The GT has higher insurance rates as well...if that makes a difference.

You can never go into a what-car-should-i-buy type thread without the usual "auto" comment (if the car is auto). You would think the mt G's have 60 extra horsepower and come with 5 free coupons to the local whorehouse or something. Ever think that the person actually wants auto??

Anyways op, go with the G
edit: just saw the G... try finding a stock one lol. that paintjob doesn't look right on it

so many people don't think about the other costs of a car before they get them. glad to see someone mentioned it before he got the mustang and was disappointed by insurance costs.

what exactly are you looking for? performance or comfort?

i'm a huge mustang person. have owned my 94 for 10 years now and work part time at AmericanMuscle.com but i recently purchased a G. the g is much better daily driver characteristics. as far as performance, the mustang can be made to make a more power for cheaper. as the craigslist ad for the stang is no longer valid i can't comment on that particular one. although i can tell you i would never ever buy any car if it was painted flat black.
