got a remote start installed on my (semi) new G35!

Just in time for the coldest part of the winter season too. I got a compustar 1000 ft rage remote start installed today. Everything seems to be pretty awesome.

The only issue I've noticed is that if I remote start the car then shut it back off with the remote start my lights stay on (only if I leave the lights on the automatic feature.) Other than that, nothing to complain about. I've got two remotes and I can still use my intellikey if I want by clicking the lock button 3x to start/turn off (although intellikey doesnt have the range like the compustar remotes), and the proximity buttons on the door handle work, too!

I got my 2005 G35x from the dealership in may and I had a professional shop do the remote start install. Price came to $399, not too bad.

Just wanted to share my excitement because this is pretty sweet!

Remote start would be cool walking across a parking lot but since SLICK is garage kept it wouldn't work for me, I'd need a remote garage door opener too....Gary

SO does the remote start have its own security system too? What are the specs on the remote start? e.g. brand, model, features

I'm browsing for a remote start for my sedan

I'm having the same exact problem! I just made a thread about it actually. Its kind of annoying so Id like to find a way to fix it. And im not sure if you have the option to have your car unlock when the ignition is shut off so that would unlock the doors too. I had to program it to stop unlocking the car when i turned off the ignition.
How do the get around the headlight issue if at all? do you not use the auto headlight feature?
