Neighbor bumped the G
Went out to work this morning and saw this awesome new customization. I spent a few hours painting my calipers just yesterday (red as you can see) and was super stoked on the new look and was going to run up to a local weekend show with my father (his 69 GTO we recently finished building). Anyhow, no note or anything with insurance info so I get to pay out of pocket to get my car looking back the way it was a couple of hours ago...
Any suggestions on a new bumper or what I can do that is relatively inexpensive. I'm getting a quote from a body shop tomorrow so that'll be a good cost-basis for a new bumper.

If it's just the bumper then you can get rid of that dent by heating it up a little and then pushing the dent out. It looks like something else got pushed back though by looking at that fenderwell, but the bumper should be an easy fix.
^^^ Also if you go thru the insurance it would be reported on you vehicle history , which will affect your cars resale value, DIY and then find a paint shop.

Here is your 2 choices:
1) heat it up and pop out the bump/live with the spider webbing til you can afford to re paint or get a new bumper out of pocket
2)search on the classifieds and find someone with a LR front bumper for a decent price to replace your OEM one.

I'm thinking I want a new bumper, not OEM. The body shop quoted me $850 to replace mine with another OEM one, and said most aftermarket ones will fit and look shotty, which this forum seems to disprove. Any ideas on what kinds are inexpensive but will fit snug?
You should really try to fix your bumper then have it repainted. Cost shouldn't be more than $350, that's the least expensive way to go. Aftermarket polyurethane bumpers and having them painted w/b close to what your body shop quoted. On our MARKETPLACE under vendor exterior Statik/Mr.Wong has polyurethane Nismo bumpers at a decent price. You do not ever want fiberglass even though they're cheaper, they won't last!

Gary I truly appreciate the thorough response and suggestions. My bumper has several scratches, and chips from the previous owner so I think I really might do the fix/repaint method here. But I'm going to look around as this is not a real urgent matter.
I might even do that myself I only spray canned my grill, and am thinking about getting a new one here shortly so I'll try it out maybe and post some pics!
