"Real" custom...

Anybody can buy a body kit or upgrade wheels to "customize" their car. I'm wondering what you guys have done that is not just a buy-it modification. For example...

-I have a Civic Si. From the factory, the lettering in the dash "Si" was not lit. I took the dash apart and removed material from behind the lettering to allow the dash lighting to show through. Now it glows subtly
-A security EXPLOIT of Civics is that you can reach into the front fender well, pull back the fender liner, and pull on the hood-release cable to pop the hood. I re-routed the hood release cable into the engine bay to solve that.

Customized features I plan to add to the G...
-Wire a new lighter socket behind the dash. Then, plug in and run a wire to discreetly power my cell phone.
-Attach a piece of clear, protective 3M "clear bra" material to the gas cover, so I don't have to worry about scratching it if I want to wipe my finger prints off after filling.
-Backup camera wired into the Nav screen.
-Cut and install a very thick piece of carpet for the passenger flooring, to make my date's ride more comfortable.
-Tough one => Switch the sequence of the headlight switch. It currently goes Off->Auto->Parking->Low. I want to switch two of the contacts, so that it will operate Off->Parking->Auto->Low. I'm not sure if I can even do it, but it's an idea.

What "real" custom stuff have you done, or plan to do?

There's "Real Customs" you just need to know where to look! Example: anything that rolls out of Auto Explosion Auto Body here in SoCal. I was lucky enough to see one last night, the member renamed his coupe Blue Waffle, she's flipin beautiful!

I agree. I'm not big on spoilers. Luckily, I found a 6MT without it. The 06-07 spoilers aren't that bad though.

I go in and out on it. I truly do. There was 1 other g on here that did a custom spoiler that I know of conrador did one that was good. Honestly I like it but from some angles it looks to big. In person it may be a completely different story. The fact that it has the carbon fiber on it I love that touch. Flawless work on it. I am not saying that. It's totally different, I respect that to each their own. It is at least making the g still look good rather than a flipping gtr spoiler or some of the other ones I've seen.
