I say good riddance, but this idiot took four lives with him. But then again, were any of them objecting? I remember every time I drove just a little fast (barely over the speed limit, nowhere near triple digits) or even ran a yellow light, my friends would be in a rush to put on their seatbelts. It seems to me that they were enjoying the danger of speed.
Not to be a douche but how do you know that....

The article says none of them were wearing a seat belt - If you got into a friend's car and the driver started driving crazy, what are the first things you would do?

Um, put on your seatbelt? besides who doesn't wear a seat belt these days? I'm with dofu, if the guys last name isn't Andretti, I'm getting out or taking the wheel.

If he was driving a coupe he probably wouldn't have crashed and if he did he'd have only killed four

Long live the coupe!

Instead of cursing these kids who already suffered a tragic death due to a mistake, you should probably thank the stars that you, your loved ones, your friends your kids, your future kids were hopefully lucky enough to not be so harshly punished for poor judgment calls. Just think this could very well be your kids one day, just making one bad decision and then you would be childless. How would you feel knowing some stranger who doesn't have the slightest idea about your child is judging them how you are?
I like your thoughts and attitude Xet! We all made stupid mistakes when we were young but I always had enough common sense not to get anyone killed or injured....Gary

And this is why my kids got Toyota Yaris when they graduated high school. Even so my daughter got several 90mph speeding tickets.

Better speed handling would still not have stopped the kid from going past the limits. It just means he would have been travelling even faster when he wrecked. Obviously the kid was not one to respect the limits of his driving ability and/or the limits of his car and/or the speed limit.
