2014 G Sedan price Drops $4800

With official launch of Q50 starting today in showrooms across the US, Infiniti came out with updated pricing for 2014 G sedan which they will continue to make till mid 2015 as per the new announcement from Infiniti. This should definitely weigh in on resale values of existing G37's but they would have got affected anyways with Q50 being around but this should hurt them more as the G37 continues to remain in production.

- Infiniti G37 sedan will remain on sale in the United States until mid-2015

- Revised line-up with M.S.R.P.s repositioned, effective August 6

- All-new Infiniti Q50 and Q50 Hybrid available this week at Infiniti retailers nationwide

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Infiniti today announced that a revised line-up of the Infiniti G37 sedan models will continue to be available in the United States through model year 2015 alongside the all-new Infiniti Q50. Base Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices* (M.S.R.P.) are being repositioned to reflect the product hierarchy with the higher content 2014 Infiniti Q50 – which will go on sale this week at Infiniti retailers nationwide.

"The introduction of the Q50 with its distinctive design, engaging performance, world's first technologies and unmatched levels of connectivity and personalization, enables us to pursue a two-pronged strategy," said Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore. "It creates room to strategically offer the repositioned G37 at the lower end of the near luxury segment in addition to the higher-positioned Q50. The two vehicles aim at different market segments and allow us to serve different customer needs."

Two models of the Infiniti G37 Sedan will continue to be produced, the G37 Sedan Journey and G37 Sedan AWD. Only two options will be available, the Premium and Navigation Packages.

The significantly streamlined and focused G37 product lineup is a key driver of the price repositioning. The adjusted base Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)* for the 2013 Infiniti G37 Sedan are:

Engine/Drive

MSRP

G37 Sedan Journey - 3.7-liter V6 / RWD

$32,550 USD

This is great news for people in the market to buy late model used. New is now much more attractive if you can live without the sport package.

I think Infinti did the right thing of making the people that want sports package to move up to Q50. I still wished they will make a 6MT (or 7MT) Q50 sports.

32,550 for a 2014 Base G is a steal.

This would be an excellent project car since the base is every bit as quick as the sport.

Install your own sound system with navigation
Install a set of nice rims/tires and lowering springs

32k is new GTI territory, not luxury performance sedan.
