Sad day no Gspot for me

I posted my Acura tl for sale on CL in hopes of using that money for a down on a G35 and an older man came out wanted car but had to sell his truck first. I told him no rush cause Im still looking for my G. So he bugs me all week saying he has a buyer for his truck coming out Sat and its for sure. Then I have a change of heart and say I might not sell anymore (wifey involved) but the old man says he reallly wants car. Anyway I agree to sell it so Im aggressive searching for my car. I find one from a member here made contact and agreed on price. Called old man Sat AM and he says he's meeting with buyer around 3PM for sure and I arrange a Sat evening time sell time. Well you know how CL buyers are. NO word not ansewring phone. He finally calls back after my one message to him apologizing profusely he felt bad as he is older retired guy. Crushed dreams of having a new used ride after all I went through searching, joining this awesome forum. I know it wasnt meant to be this time. But I will keep my TL for sale in hopes I will be back... for now it was a pleasure learning and getting advise from this forum. Thanks!

Listen, things happen for a reason. I can tell you are feeling down, but look on the bright side, you will soon sell and you will be back on the hunt for that G. In the mean time read and learn about our cars, there is so much to learn. That way you will have a better idea on what year you want, the typical problems that you can expect, that kind of stuff. Stay positive brother, pretty soon we will be helping each other out. Good Luck

Take your time. Coming from an Acura world, the wait is worth it.

Depends if it's the 04-08 TL's or the ones prior to that generation. The interior of that gen is pretty nice, my friend has the Type-S and I'm in love with the red. But that's cause red is my favourite colour lol.

^^ Also depends on which G35. Having owned a 06 TL-S. I would actually say the 03-06 G35 sedan is a step down. 06-08 TL-S to 07-08 G35 sedan is probably just a lateral side step. Pretty equal cars.

my buddies torn between a 45k mile 07 tls and a 06 G with 30k miles one owner Which would you take. Both are ATs

I was leaning more towards the G in this scenario

I would take the 07 TLS over 06 G35 sedan. Updated 07 G35 sedan is a different story, then I would lead towards G.

Depends on what your buddy is looking for.

In terms of luxery the TL wins by a bit. The sound system is pretty orgasmic. Seats are the same(Subjective). Cluster is a nice red, but typical Honda now, nothing special (Back then it was). The middle console area is a complete cluster f*** though. Hate it because it's filled with so many buttons. Just in it for the sound system.

Performance is a gray area. I only know the typical G stuff, but hardly a clue for Acura. Only thing I know is that a J-pipe for them gives them a whopping +20-30TQ and +10ishWHP?? Then there's a the whole RWD vs FWD. One thing for sure.. The quad tip exhaust on the TL is all for show, it's actually a very tamed note and can't even compare to the G. Turning on the G underground is orgasmic, turning on the TL-S is just meh.

Both are automatic, there will be no fishtailing either way.

wow you guys went back and fourth on the tl vs G. But front wheel drive cars suck IMO I had to buy this Acura cause I needed a car fast and this one was well maintained. I was looking for a manual TL but no luck. Im about to drop the price again for my TL but its stupid price difference between a 2001-2003 Acura TL vs 2004-2008 its about a 4K price difference and I dont know why.

These too go back and fourth doesn't matter the subject! Could be cars or what's your favorite band, like watching a monkey f*ck a football or who's on first.

I am actually shocked there isnt a bigger price difference. The 2nd gen TL 2000-2003 are garbage and probably worth 2-3k tops. 3rd gen was a huge improvement in power, style, and luxury. Personally the 07 was my favorite with updated interior and gauges.
