Had it since brand new and the engine and tranny still performs like new.
So you replaced it in the 257k or its the original 257k miles?

Amazingly the car drives just like it did when it was new.

I keep saying I want to trade it in for a G37x....but at this point..I'm gonna drive it til it dies and put that new car payment money in the bank.

Update. Made it to 173,000 miles. Then the front AWD driveshaft fell out at 80MPH and damaged a lot under the car. Sold it for parts. Guess that qualifies as driving til it dies.

I'm approaching 158K on my 06 coupe that I bought brand new. Not close to 200K yet, lol...but I do plan on driving it until it dies. I can't really drive it in the winter months though, unless I want to drive it until I die, lol.

It wasn't the rear one that failed. It was the front universal that connects to the front diff. It came apart at 80MPH and damaged the differential. Since replacing that requires pulling the engine, I sent the car on it's way as a parts car.

I've told people to check this out, and at least one member caught theirs going bad before it became a big issue.

Darn. Another thread I won't be able to post in for a long time. I just got my 2006 coupe with 26,500 miles. Read it and weep.
