I have an 2006 Infiniti G35x, and when I try to close the sunroof it closes about 3/4 of the way, recognizes something is up, and then opens back up. I tried to reset it, so now the button works manually. When I open it up, it stops half way, and then I press it again, and it stops right at that same point. Also, when I felt around the track I found a piece (picture attached), can anyone recognize this?

 

I have a similar issue as well, the memory function appears to have been lost... it won't open up all the way, and it won't close fully (rear flap opens up)


I have opened up and done work on my headliner, so I've seen everything that's there, and I gotta say I don't remember seeing that piece there, but I do have a 2003 coupe so I don't know
