Prepping Poly or FG for vinyl

Got all the pieces of my body kit in and Im planning on getting the car wrapped.

I know I need to prep polyurethane and I think fiberglass in some way, before wrapping it, so that it sticks properly.

Iv taken random times in the past two weeks googling with no real luck finding an answer to my specific question.

My plan is to call the shop Ill be getting it wrapped at but until then I wanted to see if any one might know

thanks.

Id say you will have to get everything prepped as you would if you were gonna paint so the pieces are nice and smooth so you dont see the defects when u lay the vinyl

I get answers on both ends of the spectrum. Sand it to make it rough or prep it to be smooth.

Since Im not experienced I definitely need to call the shop tomorrow hah

When you wrap a car it's smooth, just needs to be cleaned of wax and dirt so I'd go with smooth lol
