I am not a smart man (muffler delete)

I wanted more noise from the G and the sweet VQ sound, for cheap, (i know i know do it right and do it once). I got that and more. Now its way to loud 2800 - 3500. I am going to put in a muffler on each side right before the tips. I am debating between a thrush turbo rattler and a hooker aero chamber. Does anyone have experience with this? Which muffler will kill the heavy noise but still leave me some VQ sound? I will be looking more seriously at a proper cat back when funds are freer.

for the cost of the muffler and installation just buy a used stock exhaust.

like

then save up to get a legit cat back.

You're going from bad to worse those muffler choices aren't a great idea! Best replacement muffler is Magnflow and that's only if the rest of your exhaust system is in good shape! If you have a rusted out system, replace it with an aftermarket exhaust!

You can always get a silencer if you still feel your exhaust is too loud.

Honestly I didn't know they still made them. They were super popular in the 70's when I was in high school along with glasspacks. Technology back then was scary compared to what it produces these days 40 years later.

Say no to the muffler delete. The drone is downright dreadful. I used to have one and it got annoying quick. I run a tanabe medallion exhaust now and it's perfect. Quiet when cruising but comes alive at full throttle.
