in 2006 I bought a 2006 g35 sedan and on the stick says sport-tuned suspension with and extra charge... so did they "tune" or do i actually have a sport suspension ??

 

You bought the car new, correct? I doubt the dealer could get away with listing the car as having an option package that it didn't have. I know for the sedans, not sure on the coupes, if your car has red shocks it is indeed the sport version. You'll also have what I call the "baby Rays" 10 spoke 18" wheels and if you do a quick burnout somewhere safe and leave 2 skid marks you have the VLSD, hence the sport package.

I did buy from dealer but not new. The person that bought it returned it. Had 3k miles when I got.. I don't Remeber red shocks.. They are gray shocks.. So the tag I'm guessing only meaning "some how tuned" not actually sport suspension. Just getting ready for what they are going to say when I show original tag.

I was wondering now because I went to the dealer and was thinking about trading it in and they stated I do not have sports suspension so I went looking for the tag because I knew I had the original tag see what is stated ..

 

Didn't the sport shocks have like red looking paint dots on them?

Not necessarily. Only the coupes have the orange stitching. Do you have a picture of your suspension? I suppose we could use that to come to a conclusion

only 03-05 sedans with sport suspension have red shocks. The 06 sport shocks/struts they are reportedly black. Do you have the 18" sport wheels with 235/45 rubber?

Yes I know my tires are 18" with 235/45

 

It says the option was installed by the manufacturer, so yes your car has the sport suspension option. Only dealer installed options around that time were things like the rear spoiler, mud flaps, etc.
