Ive known Stephen since I got my G. Ive never had a problem with him. I’m a short drive to his shop and I have had him do a lot of work for me. The Texas g35 facebook page is very active. I sell stuff on there still.

(Falling prices, falling quality) What kills me is that the prices of G's have plummeted for the most part and now kids are buying high mileage G's for $3000 and want to know how to make the cars shoot flames and the like. The G has truly become the new Honda and although it makes me sad that's the reality we live with.

Back in the day this place was electric, pages and pages of new posts in a majority of the forums every day and we had some characters for sure. Now the G Spot will go 3 days without even a single post. For those that are newer search for people like skeleton_cru and WhosUrBuddiee, they were a riot. If I weren't a mod I'd be on here a lot less but Driver is like any other addiction, you always come back to it even though sometimes you know you shouldn't.

It was threads like this that made my day on a regular basis: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...g-problem.html
In 4-5 years time I can envision the G35/350z as the 240 of the late 00s; cheap and beat to hell. Pristine examples will sell for a lot more than they should. Find with me, though, my G coupe is going to stay pretty much stock, or at least have reversible mods.

As for the downtick in usage, it isn't really surprising. The car has been out of production for a DECADE, the original owners have mostly all moved on, and like mentioned, everything that has been done to the car has probably already been done. It is now basically a repository of information for new owners, such as myself.

The same thing happened to previous car forums I visited. When I bought my B5 passat in 2004, the car was still in production. People were buying the car and hopping on the forums. Owners were still tinkering, discovering, etc. New information was coming to light on a regular basis. When I went back after taking probably 3-4 years off from caring about cars, it was basically dead. Sure, the information was still there, but the new and exciting discussions had gone away. Such is the lifecyle of nearly everything. Head over to an Apple forum, I doubt anyone is still talking about the iPhone 3GS, either.

Nice. I was debating if I should get one of those as it fits nicely. I have a bazooka I was using in my old car but I feel like its gonna take up too much space when I put it in the G. Gives me the right amount of good clean bass though.

where do you live I found another one for $80 it's a passanger side box it's not a 4080 it's a custom build I was looking at I'd be happy to pass along the info

I used to visit daily just to see what people had to say or what new ideas people had with these cars. I still have my G35 and love it. I don't visit very often anymore because of the changes to the site. All of my favorite settings are gone and it used to show any post real time even if it was a response to an old thread. I miss the old site and the old members. Still a great site tho.
