Anyone know the difference in CAi g35 to 350z

i know the motors are the same and I know the cold air intake will fit my g but does anyone know if there is specific differences between them I don't really want one but I need a new boot for the maf so a way cheaper alternative is either a short ram intake or CIA and for $18 more can get a CIA for a 350z worst case I can make it a short ram by not installing the bottom tube but curious if they mount in different places or the filters are in diff places I prefer you know for sure rather than guess ...looked and all I could find was a comparison on the ram air

You're going to get different opinions on this topic. I haven't seen anything proven that a cai gave them better results on the g35. I think most believe the stock intake is pretty well designed. The 350z's tube is a better design. A lot of people switch out the g tube for the z tube.

You don't need to spend a few hundred, an OEM G tube can be found for about $25, a Z tube for about $60 but you also need the Z pcv hose so it's a couple more bucks.

A short ram is easy though, 3" coupling and a filter and you're set, and you'll lose horsepower due to sucking hot engine compartment air which truly impresses the ladies (or dudes).

Check eBay for current market prices, if you decide to go the Z tube route I highly recommend the Z pcv tube from Z1 Motordports.

i bought a cheap cai from Amazon same one they sell on eBay I'm going to use it as a short ram air if it doesn't fit as a cold air but I can't see why it won't I'll make a bracket if I have to the cold air was 15$ more than the short ram so I said why not I spent $55 total btw found the misfire
