Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I was driving my G today, every thing was normal, listening to my beats, when suddenly there was this low rasping sound in the engine, the "service engine soon" light came on and my engine temperature shot through the roof. I pulled over, climbed out, pulled my hood and coolant fluid was exploding all over the place!! I sincerely hope it's not a head gasket. Any help or learned advice would be awesome. Thanks.

Tow the vehicle home, google search how to bleed the coolant on these cars. Compression test to make sure it didn't warp the head of blow the HG if you pegged it on the high end of the temp gauge.
Also plug in an OBD2 scanner and see what the code is, probably just engine overheat code though.
If everything checks out then start going through the common failure items and test stuff to see what failed, turn the AC button on to put the coolant fans in high speed mode, make sure they're turning properly. Check for any ruptured hoses, the heater core purge valve is made of plastic and notorious for breaking. Z1 Motorsports makes a nice inexpensive metal replacement one. Thermostat is a touch more difficult and if you have more than 150k miles on the car and you suspect it's the thermostat just replace it with a new one.
