So I'm driving and my car is just fine then it rains my check engine light comes on and my car starts smoking there's no problems with it so far what do you think happened

Possibly the drains are clogged and the IPDM is getting wet. However this doesn't usually cause smoking.
Where exactly was it smoking from?
Are you sure it was smoke and not coolant?
