Just bought my first car, G35 Sedan, has a Greedy exhaust, and plenty more to come!!!
Know any Auto shops in San Diego?
Hey guys, I just check my engine light and it gave me these codes.(check pics) I looked them up and I have to change my fuel injectors, but I went to 3 car shops and they said they couldn’t work on my type of car, so does anyone have a mechanic shop I could go or could show me how? Thanks! Oh btw I have a G35 2006 sedan

This is usually a pretty easy fix, the level float arm has a printed circuit board where a metal contact sweeps across all these little printed metal strips. At the contact point where the two metal pieces meet it develops a little corrosion over time (even though it's submerged in gasoline solvent) and eventually either the corrosion throws the gauge off, or the metal pieces rub through one another and destroy the little printed metal strips.
First thing, remove the fuel pump and sub-pump, they're under the rear seat and it takes about 5 minutes to get them both up and out of the tank. Next look closely at the printed circuit board strips and verify that none of them are actually worn completely through which is very unlikely but possible. As long as they're in good condition they can be cleaned up by using a #2 pencil and just rubbing the lead of the pencil on the metal which sands off the corrosion, make sure to methodically clean EACH of the little contact points, then wipe up the graphite powder with a rag so you aren't adding it to the fuel. Reinstall the pump and sub-pump, done.
Here is a picture of the level float as well as a youtube video I quickly scanned through that seems to have the proper steps for removing the pump and sub-pump then cleaning. I didn't watch the entire video though but it will give you a very good idea what the repair entails. He is performing the repair on a V36 chassis but it's essentially the exact same on the V35 chassis. He uses a q-tip to clean the contacts, I greatly prefer the #2 pencil instead just go in the same direction (side to side across the individual contact, not up/down across multiple contacts) as the metal contacts..
