Newer Infiniti driver here! I got this car from a previous owner and had to do quite a bit of fixes on it but just now it has started to shake and vibrate when idling and stopping. That’s my Main concern. My other concern is the gas gage doesn’t always show the correct amount of gas, sometimes it’ll be above a tick mark then below multiple of them within the same minute. So if anyone has any advice on either of those please lmk! Thank you!

 

Shaking at idle, is the rpm’s too low? Could be stumbling due to a failing cam / crank sensor.

fuel gauge issue is either related to a failing cluster solder or fuel level sensor.

 

Could vibration also be from Urethane Motor Mounts, trans mount and/or dif ?

 

Head to an Autozone or similar and have them check to see if there are any stored engine computer codes that would give a clue as to the idle issue. They will check for free. Then report the code numbers back here and folks can give your more specific answers.
