What do you hate about YOUR G35?
I've had/have both an 04 6mt and now a 05 6mt......
wow, so many things to say..... I LOVE THE CAR, BUT....... Here are my dislikes/wishes/etc....
1. Paint is nice, but could be better
2. Seat control position, put it on the side
3. 05 6mt Clutch noise, engagement, etc.... SUCKS!!
4. Trunk space too small
5. Seat movement for rear people, TOO SLOW, I prefer the 04 setup
6. Orange Interior lights, BOO!!!! Need to be blue or optional like the mustangs.
7. Stock radio/audio... I like Bose and all, but this is horrible.
8. 05 Cig/plug-ins ARGH!!!! Prefer the 04
9. Sunglass holder, CANT FIT A ****ING THING IN IT, Oakley no fit!!!!!
10. No Graphite/Black for Ivory Pearl leather
11. No Rear tilt mirrors
12. Center console squeak from the magnet
13. No plastic cover under hood opposite battery
14. Weight of the car is a bit much
15. Driveshaft isn't C/F like the 350Z
16. No strut bars
17. Noise from windows rolling up and down
18. No rear reading light, fronts just dont do it enough
19. Seatbelt position/location horrible
20. Sunroof linig is **** poor and better adjustment/speed
21. STUPID A$$ CARD HOLDERS.. WTF????
22. Leather not so great, my Acura TL Type S had better
23. Seats (comfortability) not so great, my Acura TL Type S had better
24. Inteligence key/pad/something
25. Water leaks in from Wiper spray if windows down a lil
26. Prefer projectors like the New Infiniti M Series
27. No hood dampers
28. No brembos or better
29. More TQ & HP, I felt the 04 was stronger
30. Memory seating
31. Heated side defrost mirrors
32. Orange Signal light covers
33. Blind spots, not that bad though, my 4% tint doesnt help, lol
34. I'm in FLORIDA, SO YEA, FASTER WIPER SPEEDS!!!!!
35. Rattles/Squeaks, other various noises
36. Oil dipstick, WTF were they thinking?
37. No rear fold up console, would be nice to have a 3rd female in the back comfortable
38. No driver side OH **** handle
39. Gas tank should be on Driver side
40. Cup holders could be larger

The height of the car on stock suspension
The 05 clutch is noisy
The dashboard sometime makes clicking noise when i hit a bump
The passenger seatbelt hitting against the door everytime i turn
The seat doesnt go any lower
other than those problems this car rocks

I despise how the passenger seat belt rattles too.
I usually just have it buckled.
I don't like not having memory seats and power recline (I have an 04).
I don't like not having MP3 capability on my cd changer.
I don't like how my steering wheel buttons don't light up.
I don't like not having push button start.
Yeh but then all these things I hate (with the exception of the seat belt rattle) has been fixed. Damnit.

1) RATTLES - i've taken to dealer 3 times, but a new one arises so i gave up
2) Glove box doesn't close properly all the time, sometimes a sliver of light peeks through.
3) Its a bit of a lard a$$
4) Roof seems a bit tall
5) Left front speaker went out for a minute, but then hit a pothole (I live in Michigan) and it began working again.
but like everyone else, as much as i b*tch about the little things i still LOVE THIS CAR and wouldn't take anything else. Except the new F430.

Just some things I noticed:
While washing the car the Infiniti symbol on the front grille isn't very sturdy or secure. It moves while I'm washing it. I'm ignoring that for now.
The MP3 display sucks. It's either the title or artist. No scroll feature. Disappointing.
I don't know what the card holder above the driver's seat is for either. It can't hold anything. The one above the passengers seat is way more effective.
The Navi joystick can be a little annoying but the system is awesome. I have no fear of going to the unknown now.
The doors are pretty big and heavy. You have to be careful yourself that you don't kill anybody with those things when you get in/out of the car.
I didn't know we had 6 cupholders. I've only seen the one's in the front by the armrest and the one by the backseats. Where are the other 2?
Yes I am guilty of not having thoroughly read the manual. Actually haven't read it all. The quick guide has been all I've read. But I finally figured out what those metal bars were on the keychain's they give you. To turn the tire nozzle stems.
The gas mileage appears to suck
The worst thing about the G is that now I have this irresistable urge to go on long driving excursions or taking the long way home from everywhere. I don't know what to do about that...............

How tall are you? I'm 5'9" and I lowered the seat with about an inch with the locking-nut "mod" and I just fit with my helmet on.
I use the "Card Holder Thing" all the time for parking garage tickets

yea, it's a biatch to keep clean.. that's pretty much the only thing I hate about the car...

lol, i saw some dings on my interior door and couldn’t figure wtf it was from for the longest time until i read this thread...
Here is my minor "complaint" list:
1) Soft paint (front is gonna look like crap after few years)
2) Gas mileage (yea yea.. get a civic, but seriously...25mpg would be acceptable)
3) Orange in headlights (dont wanna pay ton of money for 06 lights)
4) No keyless "Start" button on 05, i wish i could press a button to start the car...like M45. The 06 still has to turn the "key"
5) Colorful dash display would make the car look more expensive (blue/red)
Did anyone notice that a LOT of exhaust crap gets kicked up onto the rear bumper/trunk? (where the letters are) I washed the car, took a short drive and there was back dust there already.
My dealer is very good at fixing rattles, so im good there, and I never had a problem with seatbelt, but here is something i found that some of you might like:

Oh and the card holder... has anyone replaced it with a handle like passenger side? I asked the tech at dealership and he said that it should be easily doable. I think im gonna make that my next “mod”, along with the keyhole cover.
