Cool New or Used

I recently went to the infiniti dealership, and I was looking at a used 05 6mt, and I was thinking I should buy used because when you buy new the moment you roll off you love your tax, license, doc fees, etc etc. about 3-4 grand, so I was thinking used all the way. Then I talked to the salesman (which I used to sell cars to I understand his thinking) and he advised me that I might as well get a new one with everything I want on it in the color I want ( either black on graphite, or gunmetal diamond graphite on graphite. not sure ) for about 500 dollars more, cause used 05 6mt are around 34-35 and new they are about that without nav. So I am really confused now cause it is hard to find a used car in the shape I want it with the color and features I want. Someone please help me with the confusion? What should I do? I like the 06 headlights too! so decisions decisions. Do you think he was bs-ing me to get a new car sale or what?

If you want your own G, go new, especially with the 1.9% financing ...
If you want a better deal on resale, don't want all the hassles and stress associated with a new car (dings, etc), get a lightly used G (1-2 years) ...

Agree and well said...

Just a few months back I was in the same boat and I went new. With the resale value so good on the G's I went new.

the 1.9% financing is only with the sedans, correct?

I went through the same thing last year. I went in thinking a 03-04 used, but with it being oct/nov there were deals on the existing 04's (05s this year). For a car with 20k the dealership wanted 29k (everything except nav). I bought new for 2500 more. No scratches, dings, longer warranty, etc. If you go used, check the car over thoroughly. If you go new, check out edmunds.com. I know last year nissan was offering 1k back to the dealerships at this time that wasn't well known. Good luck!
