Quote: changing the oil in your transmission is actually easier than changing engine oil... so you'd void your engine warranty if you changed your oil anywhere other than Infiniti.

Note, however, that you should keep records of all of your services. Such strict record keeping is what Infiniti will look for if you have your car serviced elsewhere. For example, I (and only I) service my G. Why should I pay someone else to do a half-assed job?

Def. not easier than doing the engine oil unless you have a hoist. Draining the tranny is easier but refilling and having to use a pump is far more work and time consuming than pouring in the crankcase oil from above.

1 1/2 if I remember correctly. But just buy 2. Typically when you fill the diff, and it starts pouring out of the side, you know u've filled it enough.

As for tranny fluid, definitly redline MTL or Mt-90 both will work.

Our diff does not require a additive. Only GM diffs do. Please do not use one.

Quote: MTL and MT90 do not meet the specs for the 6mt tranny in the G35. It is not recommended especially on the 350z forum. Many people had issues with that. So they had to mix them to make it right. Mixing isn't good. Amsoil now makes the proper lube for our tranny.
Just a little confused based off of all the responses so I have a quick question. I want to change my tranny, differential, and brake fluid and based of the responses this is what I have gathered; if I'm wrong please correct. I have an 04 G coupe 6MT and for my tranny fluid I should probably use Amsoil MT90 (75W/90) full synthetic, for the differential BG Ultra Guard (75w140) or if someone recommends something else please advise. Lastly I'd like to change the break fluid and from what I've gathered ATE Super Blue seems to be the best recommended. If anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears. I have roughly 95K on my G and was also wondering what else I should have done to keep it running smooth. Thanks

I run MT90 and MTL 50/50 in my tranny and 75w90 in my rear diff. After the last track day and how hot my diff got I am trying to decide if building a diff cooler is worth it and/or maybe changing to 75w140.

I'm going to do another flush with Redline MT90 and MTL 50/50 and the heavy shockproof in the rear diff. I'm also building a diff cooler at the same time.
