Can one install the airbag anti-theft bolts yourself?

I am pretty handy and have a lot of tools at my disposal but I dont even know where it goes or what it looks like. I do know they are only $10 each and both the drivers and passengers air bag can take them. On each side of the steering colum under plastic caps are "safety tork" bolts. Is this it, or unrelated? Without actually seeing the new bolt I dont know if you need some special tool to install. Any help/advise is appreciated. Or a link if I missed a thread. My 05 G35x is at the dealer now, so if it is a hugh pain to install I would just as well have them do it depending on labor cost. But I dont trust them to tell me if I can do it myself.

They are just security Torx bolts. They are like normal Torx bolts except that they have a pin in the middle of the 6-pointed star. It requires a security Torx bit to install/remove. My G came with them.

well the bolts on the side of my steering colum already have those so I guess mine came preinstalled as well. thats not as secure as I thought it would be (I already have those adaptor bits). A trip to most tool stores would get anyone a driver set. But good to know. Thanks for the reply.

Does anyone know what size the security bolt is? M6 x 1.0 perhaps? Length isn't too important as long as it's at least 20mm.

Thanks

Curt
