Get the STI cuz it seems like you have a serious need for speed.

Interior is crap. Very good acceleration, handling, and braking.

If you are in that market for STi then i strongly suggest get down to your near by Mitsu dealer & test drive the Evo Mr. Me personally i have driven both & for some reason i like the Evo better.

by the way, how do you compare your SC stage3 G and M3? was the G faster than the M3?

I think you will miss the speed, but at the same time the lack of speed might be the best thing in your case. I do not know your story, but i'd say G. However you're going to be sad everytime you want to pound the gas.....However youd be going from 2 lux cars to an econo-box, from what people have said

I don't think this is an option for him if he said he couldn't afford the insurance. From reading my insurance contract, you would need to get special insurance for a car that doesn't already have a SC (at least that is what is on the contract for Farmer Insurance).
