The head of my differential filler plug rusted and became stripped after I tried to undo the bolt, so my 10mm hex tool just spins inside the head freely.

What do you think they'll charge me to remove the bolt?

It would be cheaper to go to Sears or any autoparts palce and get an screw extractor kit. Unless you know someone at the dealership that could hook you up.

I'd get an easy out and pull it myself AP. It isn't hard and the easy out will cost you less than a hour of dealer maintenance. Unless your dealer is cool and pulls it for free.

If you are okay with tools , and can get at it with a drill and drill bit so you can drill a hole to allow removal with an easy out, do it yourself. You might be able to just jamb the extractor in the stipped hole without drilling but be prepared for the worst. If you are unsure than have the dealer do it. I can't see them charging more than a 1/2 hour labor for it. But, them again it is the dealer so double that.

usually min charge = 1 hour labor @ $ 88

if it is inaccessable/buried it might cost more...

Well, I bought one of those extractor kits, but no Infiniti or Nissan dealership has that filler plug in stock. National back order on that part.
