Thumbs up G Squad's New Sponsor!!!

I'm happy to announce that we now have a new sponsor for the G Squad Members. Kevin, at S&L Metals will be providing all of our rim repair needs in the future with discounts for the Squad, which can save you a LOT of money. He's done some great work for some of the Squad members and I can say that not only is his work exemplary, but he's also a guy that is going to do the right thing for everyone.

An example of a service he can perform for us is if you have road rash on your OEM 19 or 18" rim is that he'll take out road rash, then repaint the rim. We're not talking CHUNKS of the rim taken out, just road rash. This can normally cost around $150 plus $20 mounting and high speed balance, but for our guys, it'll cost roughly $115 and he's eliminating mounting and balancing costs!

Guys, this is the perfect time to get your OEMs back up to showroom condition for a STEAL of a price. Give him a call!

Some of his services available:
1) Rewelding pieces back onto a rim or if the piece is missing, he can build a portion back onto a rim from scratch.
2) Road Rash Repair for all kinds of finishes
3) Mounting and high speed balancing of tires you buy on discounttiredirect.com or tirerack.com for $80
4) Polishing any car part, including polishing your rims back up to their original shine.
5) Powdercoating wheels, engine parts or brake calipers or anything you bring him.

Now the one thing about Kevin that's really impressive is that he does not end his work until you are completely satisfied. He takes pride in what he does and he's VERY good at what he's able to do. I unfortunately left his card at my office, but I'm going to add all of his contact info tonight.

Additionally, he's going to be providing for us raffles for free rim repairs. Like I said earlier, he's a really good guy that will never rape you on fees and will be straight up with you over whether he should fix your rim or if your money is better spent on buying a used rim.

If anyone has any questions about his work, feel free to ask. I recently had my rims repolished by him and they look phenominal! This guy is amazing at what he does.

Kevin @ SL Metals 631-491-4313
180 Lemar Street off of Edison Avenue in West Babylon, NY.
This is on Long Island, roughly 30 miles from NYC.

If you call, make sure you tell him that you're from the G35 G Squad, he'll take care of you!

But remember, you MUST be G Squad to enjoy this benefit. Get your applications in and join our meets if you want to be a member!

I had Kevin, take my stock rims and had them polished. It looks like chrome rims. And yes on workmanship. I was the first to use him, about three years ago.

Kevin is one of the better people I've met in general. His work is nothing less than the best and his prices are reasonable. He doesn't force you to do extra work that is not necessary and doesn't skimp around the corners with quality. I highly recommend him whether you are a member of the squad or live within thy NYC region and need rim work

Cool deal!

One question I have...

Is there a way to get back that really SHINY look I used to have on my anodized lips of the RH Pro J5's?

I've got curb rashes here and there, and my lips not looking stellar...

Not sure if he's familiar working with Anodized lips, and if/what he can do to fix that??

This is the story: Bodyshop damaged one rim and I have another which need a touch up. I bought it to Kevin at 10:30 Am and now the time is 3:00 pm. I just called Kevin and asked, about when will the rims be done. He told me it done and come and get it.

SERVICE SERVICE AND A NICE GUY.

Kevin polished all my S/C parts because I ordered Satin and then changed my mind a few months later. Everything came out awesome. He also repaired a rim for me on my old car, definately does good work.

Hey Jason, my C4's at one point were anodized. Kevin polished the anodization off, which left a mirror to chrome shine on them. You can repolish then whenever you like with Blue Magic or Flitz to get that original shine back, then seal it with Maguiers NXT synthetic wax. They'll look amazing and you can maintain them yourself. I'm not a fan of anodization anyway.

He repaired my Racing Hart RS-721's which are anodized. Looks just like new.

I wouldn't go anywhere else but to Kevin for rim repair. Not only will you get the lowest and reasonable prices, but he is a real cool and professional guy and the turnaround time is quick.

Yes he does. He was going to chrome my TL wheels, but now I'm selling it for a new Pathfinder.
+1 for SL, he rapaired my Junction produce Rim that had a chunk taken out of the lip from a bolt sticking out from a curb. It look perfect. I also have a set of silver Volk TE-37 and he polished the lips and painted the spokes and it cam out great!
